*The Club is on the lookout for concerned parents and coaches of local youth shooters to volunteer for the YSSA Committee. Committee members meet with and advise the Trustees on team needs and fund-raising priorities on a semi-annual basis.

Organizational Structure

The Youth Shotgun Shooting Academy (YSSA) operates under the guidance of the Capitol City Gun Club Board of Directors. The YSSA Trustees oversee the program, while the YSSA Committee—composed of volunteer parents and coaches—provides input on the needs of teams and youth participants.

This structure ensures that:

  • The youth program aligns with the club's overall mission and safety standards
  • Resources are allocated effectively to support youth shooting activities
  • Parents and coaches have a voice in program development
  • Various youth teams receive appropriate support and guidance
